To start off I added the default Change caps_lock to command+control+option+shift modifications. First step for me was to undo this in the Keyboard settings of macOS, to have a sane default state. Karabiner is detecting my two keychrons as the same keyboard I have a K2 and a K8, and when I did a custom mapping for the K2 in Karabiner, I got the same mapping when I connected my K8. I put it to use to remap the right ctrl key to option to fix that Keychron K2 flaw. This works well except for a couple of characters that are not coming up. When I researched the whole keyboard topic, I quickly stumbled over Karabiner Elements: A tool to customize the keyboard handling in macOS. Just got my k3 and I really like it, but because I need to write several special characters (like, ,, etc) I remapped the fn key to rightoption and put the fn key in the right hand keys which I don't use.
